About the PIF TICK
The PIF TICK is a quick and easy way for patients and the public to identify that the health information they are viewing has been created using a robust, approved production process.
It helps audiences recognise health information that is:
The PIF tick is awarded by the Patient Information Forum (PIF), a non-profit organisation that promotes the production and dissemination of trusted health information to patients and the public.
PIF TICK manager Dan Wills said: “We are thrilled to welcome MEDiSTRAVA, an Inizio Company to our ever-growing community of accredited PIF TICK members. Accurate, accessible, evidence-based information is key to increasing patient empowerment and improving health outcomes.”
What this means for us and our clients
Providing clear, trustworthy, evidence-based and accessible health information that meets a genuine user need is central to all our patient-facing content.
To be awarded the PIF TICK, we underwent a rigorous assessment to demonstrate how we met the criteria of the PIF TICK production process.
Gaining Trusted Information Creator status assures patients and the public that the PIF TICK content we develop with our clients is produced to the highest possible standards.
Alex Morton, Senior Vice President at MEDiSTRAVA says “We are delighted to have gained the PIF TICK for our high-quality health information resources. This shows that we have a really robust process for developing evidence-based health information for patients, grounded in best practice patient engagement principles.”
Jo Fearnhead-Wymbs, who co-leads the Patient Engagement practice area with Alex, says “It’s really great news. Here at MEDiSTRAVA we are passionate about creating content and resources that genuinely meet the needs of patients and caregivers, and the PIF TICK is the gold standard for that. This quality mark is a quick and easy way for people to be assured our information is reliable and trustworthy.”
