Lara has over 12 years of experience in the medical communications industry, serving as scientific team lead across a range of medical communications including commercial, medical affairs, and publications deliverables, in therapeutic areas such as oncology, hematology-oncology, obesity, ophthalmology, and rare diseases. In her role, Lara provides oversight of a team of medical writers and directors, ensuring projects are scientifically accurate and strategically on-point, and partners with clients to align on strategy and appropriate initiatives to ensure we are telling a relevant scientific story.
Lara has a PhD in Molecular & Cellular Pathology from the University of Michigan and did 3 years of postdoctoral work at Brown University focused on NK cell biology & innate immunity.
